Design Guidelines
- Avoid deep narrow slots — aim for depth:width ratio ≤ 4:1
- Design threads to standard size; custom threads increase lead time
- Add at least 0.5mm radius to internal corners where possible
- Specify only required tolerances — over-tolerancing increases cost
- Indicate surface finish requirements on drawing; as-machined is default
