Design Guidelines
- Maintain uniform wall thickness (2–4mm for aluminum HPDC)
- Add 1–3° draft to all surfaces parallel to die pull direction
- Place parting line at largest cross-section
- Design generous fillets (min 1mm) to improve metal flow
- Cores and slides increase tooling cost — minimize undercuts
